Mandarin Restaurant

Mandarin is always one of my favor buffet restaurant and yet today it even surprised me with its Chinese New Year scenery, very nice atmosphere with lanterns and decorations. Food is also amazing with lots of variety and its fresh cooked, too! The price and services are incredible good and hard to find one elsewhere nowadays now. Thanks to Mandarin bringing me so many great joys and wonderful experience when visiting with my friends and families. Would come back again soon to try their new Chinese New Year menu!!!

You can get lots of what you love....and people do. Yuk. There are some who fill their plates to over full, and it is slightly disgusting ! I enjoy the multitude of choice of food. There is a wonderful salad bar that could make a meal on its own. A soup selection, and then three .... large stations of food...... from fries to sushi, roast beef to teriyaki, too many items to name, a small bread bar and desserts that fill another three stations. No matter your likes or dislikes....you WILL find something to your liking.

I've gone here 5-6 times over the last 10 years (yikes!) and it's generally only been so-so in terms of food quality. Tonight though, I could easily tell the service and food quality here as been greatly improved. Service was very fast and friendly, and the food was much better and fresher. I'm looking forward to coming again! Thank you for working hard to improve.

That was a great experience. The food was wonderful. Right down to the rice pudding later. I live in Peterborough but I love making the drive to Oshawa it is worth the drive. Thank you. Great value for your money. A great experience . The staff was pleasant as always. Gordon a stout

Prime rib is usually worth the price of admission. Fried rice is nice and lo mien is good. Wish they had better sushi. Service here is always awesome. Check out the takeout menu, good deals. General Tao is a must try.

Mandarin is a great restaurant with a variety of Chinese and Canadian food. A real smorgasbord of delights. Be careful not to eat during the day in which you're attending this restaurant. You'll want to be able to enjoy all the food. It's a bit pricey but well worth it if you go on an empty stomach. The restaurant is clean and the food is prepared according to all health regulations. The staff are very courteous and friendly.

I am shocked this one is not rated 5 stars... service is impeccable... manager always comes to say hello, and asks if we need anything. Staff are so kind and wonderful. Food is clean , its clean for a buffet... I usually hate buffets but the variety and quality of food is fantastic. Sushi is better than a sushi place. Unlimited ginger which I love. Roast beef... desert galore. Love it here

Good service and very high quality food. I am consistently impressed by the Oshawa Mandarin in comparison to many of the other locations, it is far better.

Went on New year's. Super busy. Had reservations. Only waited 15 minutes or so. Had a huge polar bear stuffed animal for my girlfriend's daughter to play with. Food was good. Good service. I'll go again.

Very beautiful inside and tons of space for the whole family to enjoy a hot and fresh meal! We were very pleased with the atmosphere and family friendly environment. Food was excellent!

My boys have never been to Mandarin before, and they were begging to go back not long after we left. There is such a wide variety of foods, that even the pickiest of eaters (my 3 year old) will find something yummy. The service was great, and the food was very fresh. We will definitely be back! (This is the best location that I have ever been to)

The staff was amazing dinning room was clean. Food was great lots to pick from. Also on Chinese New Year so they add alot more Chinese touches to the menu and food. Love coming here

Great place for big partys going out with friends or family of any size. Costumer service for the most part is great! There are a few employees that are not the kindest people but they wont bother you as much. Food wise, everything is good but not that many options if your a picky eater and maybe even if you are not.

Trying to order for mother's day since after lunch. Phone keeps saying line unavailable. We called Pickering and they said they have had over 20 calls with same issue. So no mother's Day dinner from you guys? Or do you have another number? E-mail, carrier pigeon?' two cans and string? Ridiculous

This place is great! Best Chinese food always.food us always hot and consistent and served very quickly. Love going here

definitely could have been worse. I think the restaurant itself is fine. The patrons leave something to be desired though. How about 3.5 stars

Never seen a shortage of food in any of the dishes. They had ribs and steak when I went, the gave me plenty of coffee. Don't really have a complaint to add to this. They even put up with the loud group I was apart of. Easily would recommend this place for a good night out with friends and/or family.

For a Chinese Buffet the Mandarin has one of the largest selections of items. The place is always clean. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their food. The decor is traditional with a fish pond. One thing is that you will never leave hungry. Great from dining alone to huge groups. If you have never tried then you absolutely must. Well worth it
